The Hatfield School selects students from diverse backgrounds with leadership potential, solid academic records and a strong commitment to public service.
Our students come from across the region, the nation, and the world. We continue strive to enlarge the School’s reach by seeking applications from women and people of color, and by preparing leaders from among underrepresented groups.
Some students at the Hatfield School attend full-time. Others work and need to go part-time. As a result, most of the School’s classes are offered in the afternoon and evenings.
Situated in the tree-lined South Park Blocks, Portland State is within easy walking of Oregon's art and cultural district. Student internships at nearby science, industry, business and government centers extend learning opportunities and enrich your college experience.
Portland State University is home to more than 1,100 international students representing more than 90 foreign countries. Portland State University is a quick and easy light rail train ride away from Portland International Airport. There is direct service to western Europe on Lufthansa and to Asia on Northwest Airlines.
